Photographer Linda Eastman first met Paul McCartney of the Beatles at the Bag O'Nails club in London, 1967. They met again in New York and London the next year and became inseparable. They married in 1969, and had their first child together, Mary, later that year. Paul also legally adopted Linda's then 6-year-old daughter, Heather. They also had two other kids, Stella (!) and James (I guess he would be the third). Paul wrote only a few songs about her with the Beatles: "Two of Us," and "I've Got A Feeling." After the Beatles broke up, though, he included her in all his musical efforts, and she sang and played keyboards with him both when he was solo and with the Wings. "Ram" was actually credited to Paul & Linda McCartney, and many of their songs are credited that way, too. Nearly all Paul's love songs were about Linda, most notably "Maybe I'm Amazed," and "My Love." Linda led Paul to vegetarianism, her favorite cause. Paul and Linda remained married until she passed away in 1998. I think they'd still be together, too, if she hadn't had cancer...
