3 Days of Peace & Music

Woodstock Music & Art Fair was a festival in which flower children gathered to an "Aquarian exposition" of 32 musical acts including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Joan Baez, the Who, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead and many more. Around 500,000 people gathered on a farm in Woodstock, New York from August 15-18, 1969, where it frequently rained on the acres of farmland. Despite this, masses of hip people and great music made it one of the 60s' most pivotal music events.
