Today I want to write about something that maybe isn't so retro, but is fun anyways! Festivus was first celebrated in 1966, and was brought to the public via Seinfeld in 1997. The holiday for the rest of us is on December 23 and many still celebrate it, including me! (Though not as seriously as some...) Some Festivus traditions are the aluminum pole, the airing of grievances, and the feats of strength. My personal favorite is the pole, it is easy to reproduce with an old wrapping paper roll and aluminum foil.

My Style Icon- Pattie Boyd
At this point on my life, I have decided that everyone needs a style icon. For some it may be classics like the lovely Twiggy or Audrey Hepburn, and for some it may be more modern icons like Jennifer Aniston or even Lady Gaga. I tend more towards the first option, but I love both the mod and hippie styles. And, of course, I adore the Beatles. So who might fit my description? None other than the gorgeous Pattie Boyd! She and George Harrison were the ultimate mod-turned-hippie couple. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of her for inspiration...

First Post!
Hey! Well, you can read about me on my profile, so no need to go over all of that... Basically, I'm a teenager who wishes she'd been around in the 60's, to sum it all up. :) I can't post much now, so I'll leave you with this!
